Dr. Nancy Ly (pronounced "Lee") and Dr. Thomas Sanchez, known to patients as Dr. Tom, first crossed paths during their pediatric dentistry residency at UT Health Houston. They quickly discovered a shared belief that kids deserve a dental experience built on kindness, patience, and trust. That shared vision became the foundation for everything at Polished.
Dr. Ly was drawn to dentistry after a positive dental visit of her own left a lasting impression. She's spent her career paying that feeling forward, creating the kind of calm, reassuring visits she hopes every child will remember. Dr. Tom's journey took a few meaningful turns, from nursing to the military, from private practice to pediatric care, each chapter deepening his empathy for children and families navigating something that can feel intimidating.
